Management Accountant Reference Number: GB05241 Wellingborough Kuehne + Nagel's Corporate Finance supports business development, growth, profitability and transparency across Corporate Accounting, Corporate Controlling, Corporate Tax Management and Financial IT. Your tasks and responsibilities Kuehne + Nagel conduct logistics services on behalf of the customer Whitbread, ensuring the safe delivery of chilled, frozen and ambient products to more than 2,500 Costa Coffee, Premier Inns and associated restaurant chain outlets throughout the UK. The Whitbread contract is predicted growth forecast of over 10% year on year. Our specialist team continue to grow, develop and deliver the customers' requirements on this demanding and dynamic contract. We are currently seeking to recruit a Full Time Management Accountant for our Finance Department on the Food Services Whitbread contract based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. Reporting to the Contract Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will have the following key areas of responsibility Your Main Focus: Completion of weekly internal & customer management accounts reporting packsPresent, challenge and review weekly results with operational management team across the UK wide NetworkProduction of weekly/monthly operational reports for the customerSupport in the preparation of monthly rolling forecastsAd hoc month end analysis work to support the Contract Financial ControllerMaintenance and creation of management reporting spreadsheetsEvaluate and prepare capital and lease investment proposalsCustomer budget & forecast productionAd hoc analysis reviews with the customerProducing costing models for contract projects and initiativesProvide financial support & guidance to the operational management teamMonthly balance sheet preparation and review.New business appraisal and evaluation support of existing customer renewals.Develop strong control environment with a continuous improvement led culture. Your skills and experience Due to the varied nature of the role, we are seeking an individual with at least 5 years accounts experience.Able to work as part of a team.Able to meet strict deadlines.The role will require a high degree of multi-tasking and time management will be imperative. This is a customer facing role so good communication skills to senior level are essential.Experience of using ACON or a similar accounting package would be a distinct advantage.An advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential.The role requires limited travel to other network sites across the UK and may involve the occasional overnight stay.
