Staffline are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client who has a opening for a permanent Parts Assistant to join their business on a permanent basis. The ideal Candidate will have previous experience of working within a busy parts department, supporting general and trade customers both face to face and via the telephone. Previous experience on using Kerridge system for the booking of parts to job cards is a distinct advantage as is the ability to upsell products and current deals to consumers. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: To optimise the sale of all Parts and Accessory products to Retail Customers, the Sales Department customers and the workshop. To satisfy all customer requirement and increase all aspects of the parts business through direct selling. To be fully conversant with all procedures within the Parts Department. INDIVIDUAL KEY OBJECTIVES: ? Customer Complete Satisfaction? Stock management? Parts Availability? Standards of Housekeeping DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES To implement the standards and procedures of the Dealership and ensure the delivery of a consistently high quality of service to the customer. To ensure all customers are dealt with promptly and courteously. To optimise Dealership profitability by seeking all opportunities to optimise sales at the agreed price levels. To assist the Parts Manager with a partial stock check weekly and a full stock check biannually. To assist the Manager with the accurate receipt, storage and delivery of all parts. To report any stock damage or stock losses to the Parts Manager. To be fully aware of the usual trading terms of the Dealership. To ensure that the work area is kept to a high standard of cleanliness. To maintain acceptable standards of dress, in accordance with Dealership Corporate Dress code. To ensure that all old units returned to the Parts Department are cleaned and drained of oil by the Service Department. To ensure that all old units are returned to the manufacturer in the prescribed manner. To maintain a surcharge ledger. To ensure that all chargeable cages are returned to the manufacturer so that suitable credit can be regained. To be available, when required, to attend training courses. To ensure that the procedures for handling cash, cheques and accounts are fully adhered to. To ensure that the microfiche system and Dialogues is in good working order and all current information available. Ensure that all information regarding changed parts numbers, prices, other modifications etc., as advised by the supplier is correctly administered. Implement, review, monitor and record accurately all matters appertaining to the Company's Health and Safety Policy encompassing the Health & Safety Act and the COSHH regulations. Communicate effectively with the Parts Centre at all times to ensure a high quality of service. There may be additional duties in line with reasonable management request
