We are looking for a Senior Engineer with at least 5 years’ experience of developing all aspects of Computer based Image Processing Systems.

Reporting to the Technical Director, you’ll be:

> Responsible for delivering innovative solutions to our customer’s optical inspection requirements. 
> This will involve evaluation of suitable approaches for lighting, optics and software approach
> Application development to include development of image processing sequence
> To oversee internal testing of developed systems in preparation for their site deployment
> To work closely with our software engineers to continue to drive the development of our in-house software 
> To develop yourself/ provide guidance to our software engineers on the development of bespoke image processing routines
> To help develop our 3D Image analysis capability
> On site work will be necessary for the purposes of commissioning and occasionally troubleshooting issues with our deployed systems. 
> Adopting and contributing to the Company’s ISO9001 quality procedures

This position would suit a person who meets the following criteria:

> At least 5 years’ experience working with PC based machine Vision Systems including taking an application from evaluation stage through development to successful deployment
> Experience/ competency with either Cognex VisionPro and/or MVTec Halcon and/or Open CV or similar
> .NET (C#, C++ or similar) programming skills. Whilst we have a dedicated software team, the ability to guide the development is essential
> Good oral & written communication skills
> Enjoys working within a team but also confident to work independently
> Excellent attention to detail, process control and goal orientated (deadlines matter!)
> Highly motivated, adaptable and resourceful.
