Our client is looking for an experienced Design Support Technician to join their team in Northallerton! They’re looking for a logical thinker who is an effective problem solver and possesses the ability to use their interpersonal skills to communicate and influence at all levels. As our Design Support Technician your role will involve:
It will be your responsibility to create technical documents and production tooling to client specifications whilst ensuring the highest standards of manufacturing, cost effectiveness and customer service. Your duties will include:
• Aiding engineering and production departments in the development of new products, projects and prototypes
• Assessing customer requirements and ensuring that these are met throughout the manufacturing processes
• Production support – Creation and electronic distribution of manufacturing documentation, Paste screen provision, and programming of automatic placement equipment.
• Processing customer’s PCB data to facilitate PCB manufacture
• PCB design and layout
• Ensuring that draughting processes comply with required standards
• Ensuring that all technical documentation is recorded via the new IT workflow system and fully complies with the Quality Management System
• Working in collaboration with the wider technical and production teams to innovate and solve problems and challenges creatively
• Contributing to the wider team effort by accomplishing related results and providing appropriate support as needed

Our Design Support Technician will need experience of:
• AutoCAD LT2016
• PCB and schematic layout software, preferably Easy PC
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Gerber processing software e.g CAM350

You will need knowledge of:
• SMT placement software e.g MYCentre
• Solidworks
• C programming
