Salary £24,970 + £1250 essential car user allowance per annum

Full Time 35 hours per week

We manage and run our business in a way that we can continue to be successful and make a real difference in the communities in which we work. We put our residents at the heart of the business and strive to offer a personal, modern, better service.

We are seeking an Assistant Health and Safety Advisor to work in the North of England, based at one of our offices in Shipley, Burnley or Middlesbrough. This role would be particularly suitable for someone who is relatively newly qualified in environmental health or health and safety, and is keen to gain further experience.

Your work will cover aspects of housing and facilities management and we require an excellent communicator who is committed to delivering a positive H&S culture. You must be willing to travel as you will be supporting the Senior H&S Advisor to deliver a H&S service to our northern regions.

Your role is to ensure Accent’s H&S Policies and Procedures are implemented, monitored and continually developed, ensuring that Accent fulfils its moral and legal responsibilities for the H&S of staff, residents and visitors.

Ideally you will have a Degree in Environmental Health (BSc or MSc), or a NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent H&S qualification with knowledge of Health and Safety legislation. However access to a car for work with a valid driving licence is essential.

We offer an excellent benefits package including a salary based contributory pension scheme with life assurance cover, generous holidays, flexi-time and both internal and external training opportunities.

For more information about this vacancy, please contact Jill Barlow, Health and Safety Manager on 01274 536183.

Please state on your application form the location you would prefer.

Please note – The interviews will be held at our Shipley, West Yorkshire office

Closing date 12th December 2016

Interviews 5th January 2017
