CAD / CAM Engineer

CAD / CAM Engineer Required

This company is a successful privately owned thermoforming company based in Somerton, Somerset. They have been designing and manufacturing thermoformed packaging for the food industry since 1990.

Due to expansion, they have a position available for a CAD / CAM Engineer.

They are ideally looking for someone with experience in Solidworks and SolidCAM to join their design team. The main tasks of this role would include creating designs and presentations for their sales team and creating CAM programs for their pattern and tooling work. The individual would ideally have experience with both the CAD and CAM software mentioned above and have some level of ability with Heidenhain and Siemens control systems.

Training can and will be provided if a strong applicant in one field lacks expertise in another. The work environment is high paced and varied and will require the ability to multitask and work to a tight schedule. Working hours will be 8:00am-4:30pm from Monday to Friday. Any experience in from the thermoforming industry will be beneficial.
