Due to continuing business success and growth we now have a fantastic opportunity available for an Area Sales Manager to join our team.

Area Sales Manager responsibilities:

Joining our Food and Beverage division, you will be responsible for managing a team of Territory Account Managers and working closely with our customers, many of whom are market leaders in the food, beverage and dairy sectors. Reporting to the Country Manager for Market North, the successful District Sales Manager will be responsible for ensuring that their team deliver against plan, taking ownership for the planning of sales income, gross profit and operating income from F&B activities in their district. You will also be:
  • Responsibility for the retention of customer accounts
  • Facilitating the implementation of Good Sales and Service Practice in the team.
  • Taking responsibility for the creation and/or implementation of agreed and documented Service Level Commitments (SLC).
  • Champion effective communication and working relationships within the area team, outward to the wider UK-IE field team and CA team.
  • Showing leadership in all directions; to your team through clearly delegated shared leadership, to your peers by accepting shared activities and to your manager through active effective followership.
  • Developing the sales team to ensure that they can deliver against and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Leading on communication, action, behaviour and holding the team accountable for safe working practice, compliance to safety rules and the required reporting.
  • Creating and maintaining team member’s annual Sales targets, KPIs and PP&Ds.
  • Developing key skills and capability in the Ireland team in relation to new account gains, account management and service delivery.
  • The implementation of the company F&B value added offer within newly acquired CA located in the area.
  • Driving the team in added value selling to gain new accounts and to retain and grow existing accounts.
The ideal Area Sales Manager:

To be successful for this position you will degree educated or equivalent, alongsidea proven track record in sales delivery, generating new business and account management. You will also possess:
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in leading and developing sales teams.
  • Senior stakeholder management skills
  • A strong commercial awareness.
