The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) is a conservation charity that protects wetlands for wildlife and people.  For 70 years we have been pioneers in saving threatened wetland wildlife across the globe and are experts in wetland management and creation.  We work with communities living among some of the most vulnerable wetlands in the world, providing leadership and influence to create a sustainable future for our wetlands, their wildlife and the people who depend upon them. We believe that showing people first-hand how extraordinary wetlands are can ignite their passion to help us conserve them, so we provide amazing experiences at our unique UK wetland centres for over one million visitors every year.

We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic individual to deliver high standards of customer service, food presentation and production within our catering operation. You will be responsible for assisting in all catering areas, to include providing excellent front of house customer service, maintaining stock levels, assisting with food preparation, maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety, and any other standards or tasks set by the Catering Manager. You will also assist with special events, party catering and functions, bringing energy and vitality to the visitor experience.

The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent and will have demonstrable experience gained within a similar catering operation. You will have experience of cash handling, and a basic certificate in food hygiene (Level 2) is desirable thought not essential as training can be provided.

Hours to be flexible according to requirement; weekend, public holiday and occasional evening working is required

In return for your hard work and dedication you’ll enjoy a wide range of benefits including:

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays plus bank holidays (increasing to 30 days after 5 years service) (pro-rata)
  • Contributory pension scheme (conditions apply)
  • Life assurance
  • Free parking
