Administrator / Administration Assistant - Farm Trading

Our client, a leading independent agricultural merchant, are seeking to appoint a Farm Trading Administration Assistant to provide excellent administrative support to the Regional Manager and Farm Trading team. This is an interesting and varied role working within a busy environment at their southern office in Warminster.

Key responsibilities:-

  • Assisting Farm Traders day to day – answering calls, contract entry, sending gout sample results, giving prices for grain / seed / fertiliser.
  • Entering new accounts and making amendments.
  • Maintenance of spreadsheets to determine availability/quality and pricing requirements of forward contracts.
  • Assisting the Farm Trading desk with campaigns, providing relevant information is presented in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Organising farmer meetings in liaison with PA's and PR at Head Office.
  • Manage all office stationery requirements, maintaining stock levels.
  • Proactively contact farmers to support Farm Trader business.
  • To carry out grain sampling duties on farm using a company pool vehicle.
  • Organising the office calendar.

Applicants should be efficient, organised and accurate in their work. Excellent IT skills are an essential part of the role, as is the ability to use initiative. A full driving license is a necessity to carry out on-farm sampling (following training).

A farming background is preferred but not essential.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30 with one hour lunch break. A competitive package and industry leading benefits will be offered to the successful candidate.
