Protocol Education has a vacancy for a Learning Support Assistant in the London Borough of Enfield, to work with secondary aged children at a small Independent school.

The school, which was opened in 2009, provides alternative education for young people whose behavioural, social and emotional needs have disrupted their schooling.

The school is registered for 15 boys and girls aged between 11 and 18 years. All the students are full time and some are also registered with their local secondary schools.
The school aims to provide young people who are out of mainstream education and may be at risk of becoming involved in anti-social behaviour and crime' with diverse educational experiences to support their personal development and to provide them with skills for a working life.

They are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who can also serve as a learning mentor and be able to drive the school minibus to and from sporting activities in the Enfield and Haringey area. A 1 day driving course will be provided to the successful applicant.

The right candidate for this role MUST have the following:
• Experience working in a classroom setting, preferably in a Pupil Referral Unit or Alternative Provision
• A clean driving license for 3 years or more
• A keen interest in sports
