Our client is reputable, Tier 1 Aerospace manufacturing business (engineering). They are looking for a Supply Chain Lead / Assistant Supply Chain Manager who is keen and driven to grow and develop their career within a long-term position.

Purpose of the job
To hold overall Supply Chain Lead responsibilities, encompassing the duties and responsibilities below.
Supply Chain Lead
Main duties / responsibilities
• To support Supply Chain Director who works across multiple sites
• Develop a low-cost sourcing policy that will enhance the business metrics
• Implement and maintain suitable key measures of performance with key suppliers that will reflect specifically delivery and quality performance
• Provide leadership and direction to the Supply Chain / Procurement Team
• Develop a supply base by utilising competitive companies that will provide optimum service at lowest cost
• Encourage and mentor Supply Chain continuous improvement activities to include projects and Kaizan's with internal and external customers
• Compliance to environmental and health and safety legislation
• Liaise with other Team Leaders, Module Leader and Managers ensuring that all demands are met in a professional and timely manner
• Any other tasks considered commensurate with your role by your manager

• Strong supply chain / senior purchasing experience needed
• Aerospace / Automotive background ideal
• Full time, permanent
• Lunch time finish on a Friday
