I am working with one of the largest FM maintenance providers in the UK, providing planned, preventative and reactive maintenance to some of the most respected names within the retail sector. This role will enable you to be influential in the management of this brand new retail contract, you will be working with one the country's best known FM providers and in addition to this you will also be given the freedom to make decisions and operate in an autonomous yet supportive environment.
The Operations manager stated that "This is a great opportunity to join us and run a brand new high end retail contract. The person joining the team will be given a large degree of autonomy and will be able to forge a partnership to shape the contract for years to come"
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be working closely with the operations manager to ensure that the division is run smoothly, efficiently and profitably. Therefore you will be responsible for the overall performance of the department with full accountability for contractual performance against KPI's and SLA's as well as working to agreed budgets.
You will be the lead contact for this high end retail client utilising the test & inspect division in the West Midlands. You will be required to communicate effectively with clients and attend client meetings.
You will manage a team of over 20 test & inspect engineers across a retail contract with the support of a team of supervisors. You will also be responsible for managing a budget in excess of GBP1m.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate;
* A background in the management of electrical engineering staff - Preferably PA & FW Testing.
* Experience of managing multiple contracts and a full understanding of Contract SLA's & KPI's.
* The ability to interpret electrical schematic diagrams.
* Budgetary management experience.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft programmes.
* Full UK Driving licence.
Electrical qualifications required for this role:
* C&G 2381/2 - 17th Edition
* C&G 2391 - Test & Inspection
* Recognised electrical apprenticeship or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering
Candidates with C&G 2400 - Design & Verification are also highly desirable.
LOCATION
This role is a national based position with a large requirement for flexibility and potential overnight stays. The main base for this role will be in Birmingham however sites are located across the UK.
You may have experience as one of the following: Electrical Manager, Electrical Team Leader, Electrical Testing Manager, Electrical Test & Inspect Manager, and Head of Electrical.
