Project Planner required for a true market leading specialist that have an excellent reputation for the provision of Engineering and design services into high level sectors such as government, industrial prime contractors and academia. The role has been brought about by growth and internal promotions and the company in turn can provide you with real opportunity to progress within the company.
The role would suit a Project Planner with an engineering background and holding a minimum of an NVQ-lvl3 or equivalent, coupled with experience of working with ERP, routes, and BOM's. You will have experience of production and engineering practices and of adapting to ever changing environments and business practices.
You will be responsible for providing initial project planning and the delivery of the project in relation to time, budget and client expectations. You will be accountable for; effective use of resources, maintaining the projects' records/data, production control, liaising with internal and external departments, monitoring manufacturing progress, providing inputs for estimating and forecasting of bids/tasking activities, checking any drawings against the requirement and forecasting project delivery.
Project Planner Role:
* Creating Project Plans to deliver projects within time, budget and client expectations
* Scope, plan and co-ordinate procurement and manufacturing
* Processing ERP, routes, and BOM's
* Resource and requirement allocation
* Maintaining project records and data
* Production control, liaising with the workshops on progress of tasks
* Liaising with internal and external departments
* Inputs for estimating and forecasting of bids/tasking activities
* Forecasting of delivery of projects
* Configuration control, tracking of drawing changes and concessions
* Checking of drawings for accuracy against requirements
Ideal Project Planner:
* Engineering NVQ-lvl3 or equivalent
* Experience of ERP, routes, and BOM's
* Experience or knowledge of production and engineering practices
* Experience in using MS Dynamics AX 2012 would be an advantage
