MY CLIENT IS LOOKING TO RECRUIT AN ENGINEERING COORDINATOR TO JOIN THEIR TEAM BASED IN STAINES.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of day to day activities of the design consultants, assisting with site/contractor requirements and liaising with utility suppliers and regulatory authorities.
You will be responsible for monitoring the progress of the design process against a programme and schedule of deliverables, assisting the land team to identify site constraints and helping prepare technical reports for site feasibility and due diligence.
Other responsibilities will include procuring services tenders for new developments, ensuring timely appointments, payments and delivery to meet the build programme and ensuring utility layouts are checked and are suitable for the intended build programme. You will also assist the Engineering Manager in verifying that designs produced by the supply chain meet the requirements of the CALA brief, associated instructions, and are in line with current legislation. You will ensure that the most cost-effective engineering solutions are implemented across all new sites, complete and manage adoption agreements to ensure that the regions bond targets are met and avoid overdue costs, build good working relationships with Local Authorities and Statutory Authorities to progress resolutions to technical approvals and adoptions in a timely manner and prepare monthly site update reports to the Technical Director.
This role is varied and deadline driven, so excellent prioritisation and organisation skills are essential. You should be self-motivated and pro-active with a proven track record in meeting deadlines. It is essential that you have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and are a competent user of MS Office products and Autocad.
The ideal candidate will have an HNC in Engineering, or equivalent and previous experience of working in a similar role with a Housebuilder is advantageous. Knowledge of the design of Infrastructure Works is essential.
You will contribute to a strong culture which strives to achieve 100% customer satisfaction and design excellence. We are committed to investing in and developing our people, delivering business excellence and adding value for our customers. In exchange for your commitment to our fundamental values of Passion, Quality, Respect and Delivery, we offer a competitive package including a car or cash allowance, company bonus scheme, medical cover, professional development opportunities and more.
