Recruiting for the Worlds leading media organisation!!

KEY OBJECTIVES

To instigate and develop professional and profitable relationships with agencies generating maximum revenue for the company

* To instigate and develop client relationships
* To influence the inter-media decision, to bring revenue onto outdoor/out-of-home from other media and ensure that the company is perceived as Brand Leader
* Responsible for the entire sales process - from selling the concept; liaising with other relevant departments; provision of after sales service, i.e. to take ownership and responsibility of the advertising campaign

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

* Responsible for generating sales revenue to meet and surpass minimal budgets and target

Sales Performance and Revenue

Identify all sales opportunities (long- and short-term), maximise sales revenue by developing profitable relationships with agencies

* Attendance at weekly sales meetings to give update on: recent bookings, short and long term opportunities; potential leads; update on competition and any missed revenue.
* Utilise standard industry research tools
* Agree with Head of Regional Sales annual revenue targets for agencies within portfolio and monitor progress
* Devise strategies to overcome lapsed or inactive clients and to encourage growth in current clients - monthly, quarterly and yearly plans to be put in place
* Give guidance and help motivate other team members
* Thorough knowledge of other media channels
* Demonstrate successful challenge of advertising spend on other media
* Independent control of presentations
* Track/show contribution of revenue growth on new business
* Demonstrate how to tackle consistent spend on Outdoor competitors
* Good knowledge of latest news with regards to JCD UK & globally (e.g. tenders, pitches, etc)

Agency/Clients visits/Presentations

Regular visits to agency/clients/specialists to establish and maintain fruitful long-term working relationships. (e.g. with planner/buyers), whilst ensuring minimum cover within the group:

* 7 meetings per week - Planners, Associate Directors, Board Directors & clients

* Offer site tours for campaigns where possible
* Utilise all company resources
* Rapid response to customer requests
* Written confirmation of proposals and discussions to avoid future confusion

* Awareness and knowledge of Competitors products, rates, developments. Clear understanding of benefits of company products vs. competitors and other media
* Timely preparation for visits/ presentations/ utilising internal resources, relevant research and data etc
* Be able to challenge/question objections from Media Planners at all levels

Administration and Reporting methods

* To work closely with other team members, including Sales Assistants, Trading services and Operations to ensure best management of campaign
*

* Ensure after-sales service to all agencies - endeavour to supply photographs and offer site tours
* Monitor bookings and recommend improvements where necessary

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* Computer literate
* Skilled in the use of internal sales booking / availability systems (Smartbrics)
* Higher education preferable but not essential

* Self motivated with the ability to work on own initiative
* Timely response to colleague's/managers requests and requests from agencies/clients
* Keen interest in media and desire to learn, plus willingness to take on new tasks as role develops
* Tactful approach when dealing with clients on problem issues
* Must be articulate and a clear-thinker
* Assertive without being aggressive or arrogant
* Professional approach including an awareness of confidential Company information
* Effective management of time; delegation of tasks where appropriate; proactive and creative approach to planning work for self and other team members
* Build and maintain professional inter-departmental relationships; appreciation of their supporting role in the chain e.g. Marketing, Trading Services, Operations, etc
* Smart appearance
* Flexible attitude towards 9 am - 5.30 pm (4.30pm Friday) working i.e. working hours over and above the standard either for corporate entertaining (e.g. evenings, occasional weekend trips etc) or for heavy workloads within the Group or Department.
