Health & Social Care Assessor
OVERVIEW: HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE ASSESSOR
We are currently seeking an experienced Health & Social Care Assessor to deliver and coordinate the successful completion of Apprenticeship Level 2, 3 and 5 Care qualifications for a well-established training provider who are going through a period of growth. The company receives direct funding from the SFA, has a great Ofsted record throughout its trading history, and has the benefit of taking on NEW learners, rather than disengaged learners.
The role will require you to be involved in all aspects of the Health & Social Care Apprenticeship delivery including the carrying out of assessments and also liaising with employers, external verifiers and staff to maximise framework completions.
This excellent opportunity is a home-based role and the learner caseload is located in the Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey and surrounding area.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE ASSESSOR
Ideally you will have experience delivering training and apprenticeships/NVQ and will possess an Assessor Award with a teaching qualification (PTLLS minimum) or have the willingness to obtain a relevant Training qualification within 12 months.
We are seeking applicants who have a genuine passion for the Health and Social Care sector, who adopts a personable approach to their learners. The ideal candidate MUST have a care-management background, ideally as a Care Home Manager, Registered Manager or qualified Nurse (RGN, RMN etc), and be interested in obtaining their level 5 qualification, which our client are willing to fund for the right candidate.
THE ROLE: HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE ASSESSOR
To assessor, deliver and coordinate the successful completion of all aspects of allocated work based / apprenticeship candidates, including the carrying out of assessments and the undertaking of pastoral care.
Liaise with employers, external verifiers and staff to maximise framework completions.
MAIN DUTIES: HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE ASSESSOR
Train learners both in the college and in the workplace towards agreed qualifications in line with relevant awarding body standards.
Ensure the highest of standards of learner completions are met and to monitor candidates' progress, including carrying out regular (12 week) progression reviews and target setting.
Ensure health and safety assessments of employers premises are completed in accordance to framework requirements.
Ensure all appropriate awarding body / funding body documentation is maintained and up to date.
Professionally liaise with employers, assessors and external verifiers. Attend regular programme meetings and briefing sessions in line with curriculum policies.
Continuously evaluate and improve the quality of learning and teaching within your work utilising and engaging with the college's development and observation programmes.
