A leading build contractor after securing a GBP40m commercial development in the Midlands .
Requirement
- Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Ideally BSc qualified in Quantity Surveying or Similar
- min of 5 years of similar experience and status
Responsibilities / Duties
o Review Commercial Risk, Value Management and Cost Control paperwork.
o Commercial management of subcontractors.
o To authorise the placement of contracts, subcontracts materials and plant orders.
o A sound working knowledge of various forms of contracts including NEC & JCT.
o Knowledge of construction & contract law and various forms of conditions of contract
o Manage time & workloads for yourself & any "reports" in a structured manner
o Provide commercial advice to the site team in connection with all project issues
o Deal with change management including adherence to the Programme "established approach"
o Take part in meetings & discussions regarding project performance & to provide commercial input into project strategy
o Produce monthly cost, valuation and cash flow reports.
o Attend and provide input at start up and close out meetings.
o Monitor cost of site resources.
o Maintain effective communications with project management.
o Provide advice on any contractual claims
o Understanding the implications of Health & Safety Regulations
