Quantity Surveyor Civil Engineering
The Role
Are you looking to work for a business as ambitious as you are? Are you looking for a career with a business that cares about your development as much as you do? I am working on a great opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor
You will be based on site and assist in the commercial management of a GBP7M civil engineering project in Liverpool.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensuring commercial control of the project whilst reporting to a Commercial Manager
* Controlling the project costs and managing revenue
* Managing the reporting programme progress and financial forecasting
* Place sub-contractors and prepare sub contract valuations and administer sub-contracts.
* Prepare commercial reports for review
* Ensure accurate records are maintained
* Attend project meetings, provide commercial and cost advice
* Work closely with the management to ensure the project objectives are met
The Person
* Educated to degree level of equivalent (desirable)
* 5+ years proven track record and relevant experience in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, Roads, Demolition, Bridge Construction
* Proven Quantity Surveying experience
* Experience of the estimating process and preparation of tender documents
* Ability to work individually, under pressure and meet strict deadlines
* Strong negotiation skills
* Excellent communication skills
The Company
Our client is an established Main Contractor that has been trading for over 15 years. They provide a civil engineering and building service to the built environment and targeted turnover for 2016 is GBP200M.
