Design Technician / Draughtsman - CREO 2.0
A Design Technician / Draughtsman with CREO 2.0 experience is required to work on a six month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Kent.
This is a 6 month contract with a leading UK defence company.
Overview of the Design Technician / Draughtsman contract role
A Mechanical Technician / Draughtsman is required to prepare, modify and check drawing sets and parts lists for the manufacturing control of products. You will be required to understand draughting standards, tools and methods to ensure an accurate timely service to customers.
Key skills required for the Design Technician / Draughtsman
Must be competent in the following:
* Drawing requirements of ASME Y14.100 & BS8888.
* Engineering manufacturing processes and capabilities.
* Methods of tolerancing including GD&T.
* PTC CREO 2.0 CAD software with the ability to create & modify models and drawings to the required departmental standard.
* Ability to use in-house data management tools such as Teamcenter and the change management control process.
* Check the work of other Mechanical Technicians (drawings, parts lists, BOM's etc.).
* Support the Mechanical Team Leader with other tasks and activities as required.
The role is based in Rochester, Kent - commutable from Chatham, Gillingham, Gravesend, Faversham, Sittingbourne, Maidstone and Dartford with excellent access from London and Essex.
