My local authority client are looking for a qualified Electrician, who is experienced in working within maintenance environments, to join them in Loughborough on a full time but temporary basis working from December 4th until January 31st, Monday - Friday 08.00-16.00 paying GBP13.50 per hour.

You must be flexible to participate in an after hours and weekend standby rota if required.

The purpose of the role is to carry out maintenance activities on void properties in the area including carrying out periodic checks and kitchen installations, and will include:
- Carrying out a wide range of electrical installation and testing work
- Strictly adhering to recognised standards
- Carrying out all types of maintenance and repair work as required in accordance with BS 7671 IEE regulations
- Undertaking pre-inspections of works and identifying the necessary repairs
- Ensuring that all repairs are carried out promptly and within the appropriate time frame
- Meeting with tenants as required
- Liaising with other building trades as necessary
- Communicating effectively and efficiently with Team Leaders
- Completing relevant paperworks as required

To be successful, you must:
- Hold a City and Guilds 2360 parts 1 and 2 Electrical Craft Certificate (or a suitable equivalent)
- Have working knowledge and experience of a similar trade
- Have experience in a maintenance environment
- Have knowledge and experience of 17th Edition 2382 I.E.E regulations
- Be able to successful prioritise your own work load
- Be able to complete tasks on a handheld computer device
- Be an excellent communicator
- Be able to provide excellent customer service
- Be reliable and trustworthy
- Have a full, clean UK driving licence
- Be flexible to participate in an after hours and weekend standby rota if required
