1. To act as the Councils Authorities Representative on all PFI Contracts, responsible for the daily management of the contracts to ensure no loss or impact on the delivery of the Councils Statutory services.

2. Monitor the provision of contracted services, including the availability of facilities, to ensure they are in conformity with contractual specifications on performance standards, allocating performance points in accordance with the payment mechanism in the contract.

3. Highlighting and enforcing new legislation that may need to be included to the existing contract and to ensure that the PFI provider is compliant with any new requirements that are expected in the delivery of Council Services (such as changes in corporate or asset management compliance).

4. Receive and check invoices for the payment of the unitary charge at the frequency and within the period allowed for payment under the contract. Calculate, recommend and/or agree any adjustments required in accordance with the provisions of the contract to provide Best Value for the Council over the term of the contract.

5. Monitor school requests and ensure that they are logged and prioritised in accordance with the PFI Project Agreement. Strategically plan for any contingency arrangements to ensure that the Council maintain service delivery at all times
