NRG are currently recruiting a Health & Safety Site Administrator for our manufacturing client based in Teesside. The company is a large multi million pound turnover business, they are looking to expand their team and provide a competent and accurate administration service to the Health and Safety team. Support duties include:- o Updating of H&S documentation such as procedures, risk assessments, data sheets, safe systems of work and CoSHH assessments. o Collate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports o Update relevant spreadsheets and databases o Support the HSE Officer with the creation and distribution of Corrective Action Reports o Issue H&S documentation for all areas of the business o Undertake in-house audits o Supports the HSE Officer with training initiatives and programmes in conjunction with the on-site training department. o Process SRMs / purchase orders for the HSE function o Coordinate the ordering, allocation and monitoring of safety shoes for on-site personnel / visitors o Coordinate the ordering and usage monitoring of site PPE in conjunction with the HSE Officer o Take, prepare and distribute minutes for relevant meetings including the monthly H&S meeting and Energy meeting. o Undertake other general admin tasks including typing, filing, photocopying, laminating, answering phone, updating the H&S notice board o Collate suggestion scheme ideas, issue acknowledgement letters and log idea on tracker o Locker allocation for production-based personnel. o Provide general reception cover. Knowledge & Experience o Must have previous administration experience within a busy admin-based department ideally within a manufacturing environment o Educated to at least NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline o Strong administration skills and good attention to detail. o Excellent analytical skills. o Proficient in the use of MS Office applications o Organisational skills are essential, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure to tight and changing deadlines. o H&S qualification (e.g. IOSH/NEBOSH certificate would be an advantage but is not essential.
