Our client, a highly respected and well renowned Higher Education organisation are looking to recruit for a Senior HR Administrator based in South Kensington.This is an initial 3 month contract paying GBP16.21 per hour with the likelihood of being extended.The purpose of the position is to work flexibly across numerous Departments within Support Services; providing support where necessary to meet service delivery and customer service requirements. You will be responsible for assisting the HR Adviser in the provision of an effective and efficient service to the College's Support Services. The post holder will be expected to work proactively to deliver a seamless, quality HR service.Key Responsibilities:*To advise managers on appropriate recruitment and selection methods to facilitate the appointment of high calibre staff. To liaise with the College advertising agency and advise on the best media for recruitment advertisements, as required.*To place adverts using the internal and external media, assisting in the preparation of job descriptions, person specifications and adverts as required, to ensure good quality text. *To liaise with the HR Adviser in order to manage a comprehensive and streamlined recruitment process across the Support Services. *To develop and maintain effective liaison and communication with Departments and external agencies, e.g. advertising agencies, the UK Boarder Agency.*To monitor the use of fixed-term contracts, and provide appropriate advice on their renewal or termination.*To monitor the completion of probation periods and issue reminders to departmental managers.*To manage the leaving process in conjunction with department contacts to ensure all necessary paperwork and records are updated.*To take notes at formal disciplinary, grievance and capability review meetings and transcribe them within the required deadline.*To assist in the management of probation periods and fixed term contracts, attending consultation or review meetings as appropriate. *To keep updated monitoring data in relation to disciplinary and grievance cases within area of responsibility.Skills Required:*Experience of working in a HR Department, preferably in higher education or the public sector. *Knowledge of relevant legislation associated with HR data and recruitment and selection and the principles of employment legislation and standard practices.*Sound problem solving skills; a creative approach with the ability to develop new ideas.*Experience of working effectively within a team.*Experience of providing a responsive, customer-focused service in a busy office environment.*Experience of using HR Databases.*Experience of minute taking.*Organisational skills, with the ability to pay close attention to detail.*Able to explain established HR issues and procedures to staff at all levels both verbally and in writing.*Ability to produce clear concise written material.*Good personal organisation and effective time management.Successful candidates must be available to start immediately!If this is the role for you, then apply today!Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.Adecco is an equal opportunity provider.Adecco is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
