My client, a high-growth staffing firm based in the City of London, is seeking an ambitious, driven qualified accountant to head up their accounts team reporting directly to the owner of the company. This is a newly created position, meaning the successful candidate will be able to make an instant impression upon the business. The business are currently in a phase of growth, with both the headcount and turnover increasing year on year, making now a fantastic time join. The ideal candidate will be a 3-4 years post-qualified accountant and keen to create an excellent finance department to support a first class sales force. We are looking for a commercial and creative individual who can demonstrate agility within a dynamic working environment. Duties include: Manage small finance teamProduce month-end management accountsManage constant improvements of systemsProduce other ad-hoc weekly/monthly financial reports as requiredOversee payment of all contractorsPerformance review and P&L variance analysisAssist with preparation of audited financial statements and annual audit processPreparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts Skills/Attributes: Self-motivated and focused with the ability to work unsupervised and to tight deadlinesA CIMA/ACCA Qualified AccountantExcellent analytical and interpersonal skillsStrong ability to work within a teamLogical approach to problem solvingContinuous improvement mindsetRecruitment sector experienceStrong systems/processes background with excellent Excel skills
