General Foreman Civil Engineering
The Role
Are you looking to work for a business as ambitious as you are? Are you looking for a career with a business that cares about your development as much as you do? I am working on a great opportunity for an experienced Foreman.
You will be based on site and assist in the operational management of a GBP7M civil engineering project in Liverpool.
Duties and Responsibilities
* To construct and deliver the allocated section of work within a specified timeframe with correctly allocated resources
* Read, understand and explain drawing specifications
* Ensure safety compliances and promote safe working practices
* Monitor construction activity on site to prescribed quality standards
* Coordinate construction activities between gangs of all trades
* Ensure compliance with the site construction programme
* Conduct daily safety inspection of all works within site
* Organise the correct and safe deployment of any plant and equipment
* Maintain on-site administrative systems
* Monitor progress of works against programme
The Person
* Experience of working within the civil engineering industry for a main contractor
* Proven track record and relevant experience in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, Roads, Demolition, Bridge Construction
* Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety regulations
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and consistently deliver safe and efficient projects on time
* Team player
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to use initiative
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to lead and motivate a team
* Logical and organised
* Full UK driving licence
* Valid CSCS card

Our client is an established Main Contractor that has been trading for over 15 years. They provide a civil engineering and building service to the built environment and targeted turnover for 2016 is GBP200M.
