Legal Executive/Secretary
Penrith
GBP18,000-GBP20,000 plus Holidays
My client is seeking an experienced and self motivated Legal Executive/Secretary to join their busy Residential Property Department. Working closely with property lawyers handling sales, purchases, transfers of equity and remortgages, this is a proactive role which involves moving property transactions forwards and being able to communicate confidently and professionally with all of the parties involved in a conveyancing transaction.
The main duties and responsibilities:
* Liaising with and updating clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and lawyers in order to actively progress transactions
* Dealing with exchanges and completions
* Dealing with post completion matters
* Deal with a range of administrative tasks
* Be aware of and comply with client and estate agent service level agreements
Key skills and experience:
* You will be a committed team player with excellent communication and organisation skills
* You adopt a detail-orientated approach to your work and have the ability to work under pressure
* At least 12 months solid experience gained within a reputable property team as a legal assistant or legal secretary
* You will have experience of working with a case management system
* Good working knowledge of the conveyancing process
* Knowledge of Land Registry requirements
