My client, one of the world's leading Semiconductor Manufacturers are seeking a Trainee Manufacturing Group Leader to work at their world class manufacturing facilities based in Manchester.
The responsibilities of the Trainee Manufacturing Group Leader job in Manchester is to gain full knowledge of the workflow across the Wafer Fab. This would include but not be limited to:-
- Master the process flow, key equipment and tool utilisation, business key performance indicators.
- Learn the Fab organisational structure and interact with other functions such as Process and Equipment Engineering, I.T. And Logistics.
- Understand the quality requirements of a high volume supplier to automotive customers.
- Be conscious of the safety requirements on the shop floor.
- Be able to provide leadership and communicate accurately to production assistants, peers and management.
- Plan workloads, personnel and be aware of bottlenecks.
- Lead the total activity to meet daily, monthly and quarterly goals.
- Motivate and empower others to take responsibility for their areas of work.
Key requirements:-
Be a recent graduate with an engineering or business degree.
Have some experience of a high volume manufacturing environment.
Have good interpersonal skills.
Have a drive to succeed.
Be computer literate
This will start off as a day time role but will evolve into a rotating shift based role of 4 on / 4 off, including both day and night shifts.
