Electrical Designer- Chemicals- North-West- GBP37-43k
An experienced and well qualified E&I designer, is sought to work for a heavyweight in the chemical manufacturing industry.
Working in tandem with the engineering team to deliver multi-discipline site projects, you will be tasked with the design of small projects and plant modifications, so you will be able to point to strong computer skills, using Autocad to deliver such drawings as engineering flow diagrams, electrical schematics and instrument process hook up drawings.
A background in similar process industries, or even heavy industries would be beneficial, and time spent in a similar plant based environment would be ideal, as there will be an aspect of working with engineers out on site, as well as the Design Office.
You will join a business which is a true leader in its field, commanding over 40% of the market share in the industry, with a focus on continued staff development.

Essential
- Proven experience in process plant Electrical design engineering.
- Design of Electrical Systems, from 24VDC-11KV
- HNC/HND/degree in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent
- Skilled in the use of Autocad
- Practical, can do approach coupled with strong technical knowledge. Hands on approach - capable of delivering work themselves as well as through others
Desirable
- Relevant experience on similar Top Tier COMAH sites
- Working knowledge of DSEAR and IEC61508
