Are you a Credit Risk Analyst looking for an opportunity to join a friendly team within a fast growing Bank?

Now entering a period of major growth for this new Banking business, this exciting organisation now requires a Credit Risk Analyst with a minimum of 3 years experience, to produce credit reports as well as overseeing the output of risk reporting.

Reporting into the Chief Risk Officer, this role will also require the regular presentation of credit risk analysis and reports to key stakeholders, as well as assisting in changes to best practice and implementing new policies and procedures.


- Conduct regular and ad-hoc credit risk analysis on all counterparties, loans, FX and transactions
- Provide sound and independent written credit opinion on financial institutions acting as counterparties
- Perform credit due diligences, analysis and ratings on a portfolio of new and existing Bank and non-Bank counterparties
- Interact with relationship managers, trading desk and operations on transaction approvals
- Contribute to the development and testing of credit rating, macro-economic and market-condition analysis
- Prepare material for Credit Committees, including credit memos on specific counterparties and presentation of monthly global exposures
- Assist in the development of existing policies and procedures, quantitative models and current practices
- Deputise for the CRO at various meetings and Committees
- Production of credit risk reports as well as overseeing output of all risk reporting


- 3 + years` experience within Credit Risk in Banking or Foreign Exchange
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
- Good knowledge of UK credit bureaus
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, economic risk factors and varying banking business models
- Familiarity with application of credit models
- Understanding of core risk principals
- Confidence to articulate analyses across the business and to stakeholders through a variety of formats
- Awareness of methodology limitations along with initiative to expand and develop existing models
- The job holder will have experience in analysing credit proposals across numerous industry sectors, will have a firm grasp of wholesale banking products, an understanding of international regulations and a demonstrable analytical approach. In addition, cash flow modelling experience would be advantageous.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills


- A university degree in a financial or quantitative subject is desirable but not essential

- An interest in keeping up to date with credit, market and operational knowledge of regulations
