We have a an opportunity for a fluent French speaking experienced complaints and case handler with a background in financial services to join my very well established client.

You must be fluent in French to be considered for this role.

To handle complaints from overseas policyholders in accordance with the relevant overseas regulatory bodies and the FCA rules ensuring:

* Review of the complaint and response to ensure that it has been actioned within the correct timeframes, correct referral rights given and that the outcome is appropriate
* Liaison with managing agents and coverholders
* Undertake regular review of open cases to ensure that all cases are progressed within regulatory deadlines
* Effective prioritisation of case load
* Liaison with Financial Ombudsman Service (or equivalent) in multiple jurisdictions
* Provision of guidance to managing agents and coverholders, taking into account previous FOS decisions
* Accurate data input to Complaints Monitoring database to ensure both accuracy of Management Information and correct and timely case fee calculation

Skills and experience required:

* Fluency in French - essential
* Knowledge and understanding of rules relating to handling policyholders complaints and general insurance matters
* Previous background of handling complaint cases within financial services industry
* Ability to remain calm and objective to handle difficult cases
* Proven negotiation and influencing skills
* A very high standard of written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to discuss issues effectively with all levels of the market
* Flexibility to work independently and as a part of a team
* Good IT skills, including Access, Excel and Word
* Experience of using Crest would be a distinct advantage
* Competent in operational, change, risk and people management
