Our client is a well establish consultancy based in Dartford.

They are now looking to recruit an experienced Group Finance/Accounting Manager. Reporting to the Finance Director the role will be responsible for the financial health of the Group.

Duties will include:
Producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial research. Guiding Directors in making sound business decisions in the long and short term
Oversee and evaluate the operations of the Accounting Department. This involves direct oversight and management of a company's accounts as well as accounting support staff. Verify the accounting information collected, analyse that information from the top down, and offer the last verification on financial data.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions, processing where needed.
Raise Purchase Orders against supplier quotes, following Company Process.
Apply for credit accounts with new suppliers, following Company Processes.
Contract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary.
Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.
Provide upper level strategic analysis on company financials.

Process company financial data and run reconciliations.
Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company by forecasts and scenario planning.
Produce reports and scorecard information and represent Finance for internal monthly Matrix meeting and
Board Meeting.
Coordinate efforts across departments to amass accounting information.
Research and analyse financial reports and market trends
Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports, presenting where necessary.
Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.
Evaluate accounting software on company needs. Experienced in the use of SAGE essential.
Ensure accuracy throughout the financial record.
Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the Company.
Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
Oversee and maintain credit control for external Companies.
Initiate and process Sales invoices as and when necessary.
Bank incoming cheques and cash and receipt on SAGE.
Process, validate and pay employee expenses monthly.
Maintain Company petty cash and obtain necessary funds from bank when needed. Reconcile monthly.

Communication
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing to board members, stakeholders and clients in formal meetings.
Respond accurately, concisely and correctly to CEO and Board of Directors in formal meetings.
Confident in dealing with information of a confidential and sensitive nature.

Supervision:
Oversee financial department employees, including financial assistants and external accountants.
To monitor Financial Department employee's performance and individual team member performance to resolve issues where they exist and alert Human Resource, where assistance is required.

General
Constantly maintain an upmost level of confidentiality and discretion with all information pertaining to the business.
Portray a professional image to colleagues, senior employees and Clients in person and in all
communications.

Complete timesheets daily and accurately.
Be punctual and dress in a business-like manner.
To maintain a generally proactive approach to all aspects of the role.
To ensure the Health and Safety of self, customers and colleagues is not at risk, taking all reasonable steps to ensure safety in the workplace.
To adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
To determine learning, training and development targets with direct line Manager and undertake training and development to meet individual goals.
To undertake any tasks as reasonably requested by Line Manager or Senior Management Team outside of
normal job requirements, when needed
