Health and Safety Consultant required to work for a leading project and programme management consultancy on some exciting construction related projects across industry sectors including Petrochemical, Commercial, Airports and Construction.
The Bristol office is currently looking for a Health & Safety Consultant to deliver CDM Services on a range of projects and will offer the scope to develop their experience and progress their career.
Health & Safety Consultant:
The role is primarily based on the delivery of CDM Services and the Health and Safety Consultant will be responsible for delivering a number of roles in all technical and contractual aspects of professional practice.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Providing Health & Safety Services on both independent commissions and also to complement wider project delivery services
- Production of pre-construction information, files and other associated CDM documents
- Ensuring Designer compliance
- Reviewing contractors documentation
- Interfacing with clients and design teams on project basis
- Advise clients on procurement options and consultant appointment issues
- Pro-active in business development within the Midlands and surrounding regions
- Keep updated with current legal developments in respect of construction and associated law.
The Health & Safety consultant will have a design or construction background with experience fulfilling a Principal Designer / Client CDM Advisor role, demonstrating knowledge and understanding of the component parts of CDMC / CDM2015 and working knowledge of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. They will be a Chartered or hold a Professional Qualification in Health and Safety, NEBOSH qualified and preferably Member of APS / IOSH.
They should have strong communication and client facing skills with experience of working with clients at a strategic/operational level and managing the relationships effectively.
