Architectural Specification Manager

Our client is one of largest network of specialist contractors in the UK. They are an established, international, leading supplier of high-quality window, door and facade systems and they currently looking for an Architectural Specification Manager to join their expanding team!

As an Architectural Specification Manager, you will be responsible for specifying and securing projects for their customers, alongside proactively developing new and existing business.

Key responsibilities as an Architectural Project Manager:

* Obtain leads on potential new business and embed the company specifications with commercial architects, specifiers and main contractors.
* Develop and maintain long-term business relationships, with a view to having products specified and approved for commercial market.
* Increase the existing specifiers base by identifying and securing new business from targeted specifying outlets.
* Provide ongoing technical support to architects and contractors during the design phase of projects, actively promoting the company's solutions.
* Update architectural practices on new developments and products within products portfolio.
* Liaise closely with commercial colleagues to maximise potential business development opportunities.
* Actively set up and attend project meetings and maintain up to date records of all projects and their status on CPS.
* Administrative duties, including submitting weekly and monthly reports, call reports and journey plans by deadlines and log all visits on CPS.
* Proactively maintain an up to date knowledge of the company UK products, market trends and competitors and attend training, exhibitions, meetings and seminars as required.

Candidate Skills:

* A proven record of successful business development with architects, particularly with matters relating to the commercial markets.

* Familiarity with the construction industry and the technical / commercial processes, which are the central features of all significant projects.
* Experience of the design / construction and installation of windows and doors.
* Experience of managing technical queries, including producing outline technical drawings unaided.
* Commercial awareness and judgement.
* Proven ability to meet goals and challenge competition.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills.
* An eye for detail and natural creativity.
* Excellent ability to manage time and plan work to ensure optimum effectiveness.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
* Full UK Driving Licence.

Salary Guide: circa GBP40-45K pa, plus benefits
