Experienced Warehouse Operations Manager required

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for an established company in the Wiltshire area.

As the Operations Manager, you will help to improve operational systems, processes and policies in support of the company mission and implementation to high standards to achieve high Constant Perfection.

Key responsibilities:

- Security: Responsible for the security of the company premises and integrity of stock and all company's assets. To continually evaluate risk and improve security measures.
- Planning: To forward plan and organise resource allocation from trends in KPIs and volume history.
- Relay daily plan of action to supervisors and interdepartmental teams.
- To hold staff and peers accountable. Conduct disciplinary investigations to uphold and maintain company values.
- Support all organisation departments. Work to improve functionality, provide clear concise reporting and adhere to deadlines.
- Analyse operational statistics. Identify the underlying principles reasons or facts of information by breaking down informational data into separate parts.
- Create, implement and review new processes.
- To communicate the company mission statement and values. Protect the company brand and the shareholders.
- Manage supervisors and develop the team through coaching and mentoring.
- Responsible for stock integrity and provenance, maintaining stringent control measures.
- Adhere to regulations and SLA compliance.
- To ensure full compliance with the company Health & Safety policy.

Candidate attributes:

- Management experience
- Essential background in warehouse goods in and dispatch, with a good knowledge and understanding of stock control procedures.
- Minimum 5 years operational manager experience.
- Experience managing 30 plus employees.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office.
- Must have a driving license.
- Communication skills on all levels of the business
- Customer service background
- Writing daily reports, planning and expected completion times.
- Background of investigation reporting.
- Experience of reduce costs and increase productivity.
- Forecasting reporting.
- Writing reviews existing processes to maximise profitability and stock integrity.
- Following company missing statement and values to promote constant perfection.
- Experience of delivering training and developing staff.
- Experience with stock checking, quality control. Investigation reporting, dealing with issues.
- Complying with HMRC and HS regulations.
- Background with writing reports of hazards, risks and accident reporting.
- Reporting to managing directors and providing support across the business for other departmental managers.
- Responsibilities for all daily operations with duty to promote and maintain company principles.
- Degree in business management or CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transports) is an advantage.
- Team worker and ability to work alone.

Desirables:

- Having worked for a pharmaceutical / frozen industry or Royal Mail.
