Account Manager - Water Treatment

My Client offers a diverse range of services including pre-commission and remedial chemical cleaning of water systems, chlorination, a full range of water hygiene services including legionella risk assessment, boiler and cooling water treatment programmes, water sampling and testing, chemical supply and consultancy services.

They currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Account Manager to be based ideally in the Berkshire area.

You MUST have come from a sales (business development or account management) background within water treatment.

Job Summary
Manage existing and new consultant accounts to achieve specifications, and assist in converting them into sales, within designated sales areas in accordance with agreed budgetary targets and to maximise company profitability.

To develop strong relationships with client base, offering technical advice and guidance with an emphasis on contractual and legislative compliance.

Primary Objectives
Monitor and control the budget for the customer base to ensure that all financial targets are met and that all necessary financial controls are in place to comply with company and regulatory requirements.
Generate specifications from a portfolio of accounts whilst developing and maintaining relationships with customers and prospects to ensure that the maximum sales potential is realised in the designated sales areas.
Provide customers and prospects within the sales areas with information about company products and services.
Give support and guidance to other Account Managers and Sales Engineers (ie support team member) so that they are fully informed and capable of carrying out their responsibilities to the required standards whilst maintaining effective working relationships.
Provide clients and colleagues with reports and proposals composed to exemplary and technically accurate standard, in a timely manner using branded company documentation and templates.

Support other divisions of the business ensuring excellent inter-divisional communication, transfer of leads, and actively seek out opportunities to promote the other divisions through interaction with customers and prospects in the sales area.

Preferable qualification to degree level or equivalent
Minimum 3 years' sales / account management experience preferred within the water treatment sector.
Thorough knowledge and experience of marketing and sales
Excellent sales and interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Excellent drive and determination to surpass targets
Must hold a full valid UK driving licence
Computer literate, with general working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
