Are you an experienced Nursery Manager looking for a new position next year in North Yorkshire?
We have a full time position available for a Pre-School manager. You will work Monday to Friday on a term time only basis. You will be responsible to the Pre-School committee and responsible for all staff and children who attend. The Preschool is very closely linked to the local primary school and has a strong presence within the community.
You will ideally have experience of managing an early years setting and must hold a relevant qualification in childcare.
Main duties and responsibilities:
To take responsibility for the overall day to day running of the Pre-School; and the planning and monitoring of suitable early years curriculum
To liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about the Pre-School and curriculum, exchanging information about children's progress and encouraging parents' involvement
To ensure records are properly maintained; e.g. daily attendance register, accident and incident records, waiting lists, admissions
To ensure the Pre-School is a safe environment for children, that equipment is safe, standards of hygiene are high, safety procedures are implemented at all times and fire drills are practiced regularly
To attend meetings and report to the management committee
To supervise staff meetings outside of working hours, and attend in-service training as required
To liaise with the management committee, OFSTED, and other professionals as necessary and ensure that all legal requirements are implemented
To ensure commitment to equal opportunities and understanding of religious and cultural diversity
To contribute to and implement all Pre-School policies and procedures
