Mould Technician - Cambridge
Our exclusive Engineering Manufacturing client who are based in central Cambridge who are looking for an experienced Mould Technician, this is an opportunity for someone to progress their skill set within a large global engineering business.
Purpose
As a key part of the Production team, the Mould Setter will be responsible for the setting of all Injection moulding machines and the manufacture of all in house injection moulded products.
Key Responsibilities
Setting of injection moulding machines
Operating (when required)
In-process control/quality assurance
First line maintenance of moulding machines and ancillary equipment
Mould tool insert change over
Raw material inventory management
Maintain the Mouldshop to the very high standards of housekeeping expected
Mould tool trials
Associated paperwork and procedures
In addition, the jobholder will be expected to contribute to the following
Health and Safety
Continuous improvement (5's & Kaizen activities).
Critical success factors
Time Served Engineering Apprentice (or minimum 5 years relevant experience)
GCSE or equivalent passes in English and Mathematics
Computer literate to include basic knowledge of Microsoft Word , Excel and Outlook
Team player
Ability to communicate both internally and externally across all departments
Ability to prioritise workloads and be pro-active
