SHEQ OFFICER
(Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality)
Our client an established commercial vehicle company require a permanent fulltime SHEQ Officer to join their team in the Liverpool area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the company's Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality Management System.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain office / site SHEQ programmes in line with current legislation
Support site teams / supervisors in delivery of SHEQ objectives & Considerate Constructor targets
Preparation and maintenance of H&S, ISO Quality and Environmental accreditation
Production of Construction Phase H&S plans / handover O&M manuals
Coordination of company training requirements

Relevant experience gained in a logistics environment
NEBOSH Certificate qualified or equivalent (candidates who are studying to this level will be considered). Candidates who do not currently meet this requirement must attain this within 6 months of appointment.
Experience of managing H&S at a local level
Will have the influencing skills to drive a culture of continuous improvement
Will have effective presentation and training skills
Will have competent administration and IT skills
Desired competencies

Tech IOSH (or working towards)
Experience of managing quality and environment systems
Ability to translate legislation into everyday language
Personal Attributes:

Motivated self-starter, comfortable working as part of a team and as an individual
Passion, drive and ambition to make a career in SHEQ
Good communicator with good influencing skills who is able to operate at all levels
Collaborative and hands-on approach
Will possess the interpersonal skills, integrity and commercial awareness to maintain excellent working relationships at all levels
Will be able to prioritise actions required against time
Good attention to detail
Will hold a full UK driving licence and is prepared to travel if required
