Support Engineer - Gloucester - ??25,000 - ??35,000 + Pension + Healthcare + Career Development Opportunities
Company Overview
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful switch gear manufacturing business which has been established over 60 years. They have a great reputation within the market and are work on projects ranging in value from the small scale to several million pounds.
The business is part of a wider group with an international footprint giving my client significant financial backing and the ability to support clients across the globe.
Role Outline
The successful candidate will join the business as a support engineer and will have responsibility for helping a contract engineer delivering a successful solution to the client. This varied role could include tasks such as: assisting with switchboard design, producing risk or method statements to ensure safe installation on site, customer liaison and anything else reasonable to ensure the achievement of customer performance targets.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support and advice to contract engineers in assessing LV Switchboards and Motor Control Centre equipment and build-ability of proposed solutions
Expedite design, assembly, testing and delivery to ensure compliance of quality, budget and programme milestones defined for the project
Assist in reviewing and implementing safe systems of work for mechanical and electrical site activities, including risk assessments, method statements and impact / contingency plans
Manage defects and take appropriate corrective actions (assess potential impact of any defects on overall success of the project and escalate to the Senior Contract Engineer where appropriate).
Provide information and advice for asset management of mechanical and electrical equipment
Proactively assist the Contract Engineer with customer relationships to ensure full satisfaction
