The Company:

Would you like to continue your career within Production Planning or Scheduling in a really hands on role within a busy manufacturing facility? Our Client is offering an 18 month contract utilising your existing skills operating SAP and controlling the work-flow of the organisation.

Job Responsibilities:

* Review of each work centre every morning, immediately raising any conflicts and constraints with the Production Manager.
* Identifying conflicts between the company's SAP system and the actual situation and recommending actions to resolve these conflicts
* Investigate late production orders to see if changes can be made to keep delivery date by agreeing improvements with production department managers. Start and end dates must not be changed
* If any production orders cannot be improved to make the planning department aware along with proposed date.
* Tracking of sample progress
* Weekly report of any overdue orders for customers with specific on time delivery measures
* Managing production schedule. Weekly summary report for the Production Manager.
* Weekly scheduling meeting with team leaders and managers to agree plan for week ahead, plus ongoing daily progress review and adjustment of the SAP system
* Maintaining appropriate records in Excel to record each cell's weekly performance.
* Weekly updating of cycle time and wait time database. Raising conflicts between actual and planned times with the Production manager
* Managing on time start information and countermeasures using Excel.
* Six monthly WIP maintenance.
* To support with annual and as requested raw material stock take.
* Maintenance of the Data Coding documentation.
* Create and manage production rework batches as required.

Preferred Skills:

* Proven experience within a similar Production Planning or Scheduling role within a busy manufacturing facility.
* Advanced skills in SAP and Excel.
* Excellent data interrogation skills.

Personal Attributes:

* You will be an effective communicator able to extract information from colleagues

Working Hours:

9-5 Monday to Thursday and 3pm on a Friday
