Buyer - Supply Chain
Crawley - up to GBP27,000
Primary Purpose
The Buyer/Planner will be responsible for the tactical aspects of managing suppliers to ensure delivery of products and services according to business need. Working with the Strategic Sourcing team the Buyer/Planner shall understand the key supply chain stratergies and manage the supply chain accordingly to meet production requirements.
Responsibilites & Tasks
* Plan the smooth flow of materials and resources to ensure systems are avaliable to cost and schedule challenges
* management of programme related material and labour cost
* ordering products according to requirements and expedite and manage the purchase orders as required.
* Monthly reporting metrics to demonstrate progress in areas such as programme excution, finance, risks, opportunities and resourcing
* play a leading role in resolution of supplier quality concerns, invoice quiries
* Maintaining accurate part related information in the company MRP system
