Reporting to the Overhaul Team Leader provides the key skills, technical knowledge and experience to help the business achieve its desired overhaul and service programme
Working as part of a team you will carry out planned engine overhauls on all mechanical
equipment to improve reliability /productivity and minimise the downtime of generating units.
The candidate must actively support and comply with Companies documented policies and
procedures and Values
Actively ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental rules and regulations to achieve
our target of Zero Harm.
Be conversant with current Regulations and Acts
To deliver quality overhauls and decokes on time and in budget
Follow correct engine overhaul and maintenance procedures to ensure continuous quality and reliability of the power station.
Produce accurate and thorough overhaul/decoke reports of all work carried out, measurements recorded and parts used.
Take ownership with the team of the overhaul from start to finish

Person Specifications
Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience with rebuilds and overhauls and maintenance on Jenbacher or Caterpillar landfill gas engines. Deutz experience would be an advantage.
A proven record of commitment to safety.
Flexible attitude and a work through ethic
Working away may be required subject to site
Ability to participate in a multi skilled environment
Identify parts and best overhaul and maintenance practice using OEM manuals
The ability to communicate with management, team members and external parties in a
professional and effective manner.
Able to lead by example, motivate co-workers, work as part of a team or as an individual.
Demonstrates an ability to work to industry best practice and also have a flexible attitude to
getting the job done.
An individual who is self-motivated, results driven but demonstrates attention to detail
A valid UK Car Driving License

Key Responsibilities
It would be desirable to have a recognised Apprenticeship or qualifications in an appropriate engineering subject such as City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (relevant skills and suitable experience without this qualification will also be considered).
Attendance of Clarke Energy, Finning or MWM recognised training course
Knowledge of Jenbacher, CAT and Deutz control systems, Di.ane, XT Blue ,EMS, Comap and
Noxing and adjusting engine parameters to maintain optimum load and keep in line with legislation
