POSITION: Mobile Cleaning Supervisors

LOCATION: Various around Oxford but based in (OX4)

DUTATION OF ASSIGNMENT: Temporary contract with a view to going permanent for the right candidates after a 3 months period

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday only. 37.5 hours per week. Daily hours are flexible

RATE OF PAY: GBP10 an hour

PURPOSE OF ROLE: Overseeing cleaning activity across various council properties to ensure that a good standard of work can be seen in accordance with contracted agreements

KEY DUTIES:
*Assist with the recruitment and supervision of staff
*Induct, train and manage site operatives
*Ensure a professional and agreed service to the client
*Be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the sites as per scope of service
*Ensure Health & Safety, quality and general procedure compliance
*Ordering and control of stock as directed by Line Manager
*Proactive reporting of all Health and Safety issues
*Coach and support cleaning operatives to meet client standards and company objectives
*Monitor and manage the control of labour, consumables and cleaning materials within given budgets
*You will contribute to the OCC Corporate Estate's overall achievements of its objectives.
*Comply with Carillion policies and procedures relating to H&S, data protection, equal opportunities, resource management and employment
*Maintain staff confidentially
*Contribute to the overall ethos, aims and reputation of the service
*Undertake training and development as required and use your own expertise to assist, where appropriate and necessary, with the training and development of fellow employees.

You will be responsible for all buildings within a geographical region, as detailed in the Buildings Allocation List. This may include a small selection of Schools sites. As a Mobile Area Cleaning Supervisor you will be responsible for a team of cleaners across a designated area
Additional responsibilities will include:
oTo follow allocated schedule for site visits on a rotation basis as instructed by the Manager
oTo complete a weekly timesheet document and issued to the Manager by 10am on a Monday morning for the previous week.
oProviding instructions to the cleaning team to ensure that daily/weekly/monthly tasks are completed in line with cleaning standard and service agreements
oLiaising with the Manager to ensure effective consumable ordering etc. is completed
oEnsure that cleaning is carried out in accordance with standards of procedures as set out by Carillion, using the correct chemicals (in line with COSHH requirements) and equipment
oTo carry out audits/stock takes of cleaning cupboards to ensure they are kept tidy to enable effective stock-taking and in line with health and safety requirements.
oTo check timesheets are being completed and posted to the Area Mobile Cleaning Supervisor on a weekly basis (this data is used to produce overtime tracking so it is fundamentally important that this task is completed) and ensure all staff are using the phone based time and attendance system.
oTo attend training as required by line management instruction
oTo ensure that all staff wear the correct uniform whilst on site, and use the correct PPE equipment if issued.
oTo adhere to local site specific health and safety requirements
oTo complete all sickness Return to work interviews with staff within your geographical region
oTo be responsible for completing initial disciplinary/grievance investigations as they arise.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
No direct qualifications are needed for this role.
All candidates MUST hold a clean drivers license - company vehicle will be provided for this role along with mobile phone and laptop
Should the candidate have any qualifications/training in BICs, H&S, COSHH, HACCP or any other relating to the industry, it would be beneficial to this post

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
The right candidate would be able to demonstrate a good level of customer service and ideally would have experience working in a client centred environment
Cleaning experience is essential to this post - ideally within a commercial setting
