Finance Manager/ Financial Accountant
Up to GBP35k based in Coventry, Warwickshire/ West Midlands
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a corporate complex group, dealing with businesses within the group at a busy prestigious head office. Ideally engineering, manufacturing, public sector funding, or R&D background.
As this role is dealing with the below our client recommends the successful candidate will have some of the following experience:
•Accounts payable and accounts receivable
•Double entry and journals
•Operational change and assist in bringing about change in the day to day running of the Finance activities.
•Liaise confidently and directly with members of management to gather and occasionally challenge and chase data/ information
•Dealing with process mapping, core data, and data capture
•Intercompany trading
•Reconciliations, payments, bank reconciliations, payroll reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliations.
•management of control accounts
•restructuring balance sheet presentations.
•Accounts payable and accounts receivable reporting core functions ledger.
•Developing financial systems
•Preparing schedules of finance and operating lease payments and reconciling to balance sheet control accounts.
•Preparing 'shared services' journals
•Detailed balance sheet reconciliations, control of accruals and prepayments.
•Year end accounting processes and statutory audit requirements.
•Fixed asset reconciliations and controls.
Education/ Experience
Ideally CIMA Qualified/ CIMA Finalist or similar due to the nature of the work.
Confident, assertive and able to approach all levels of colleagues to gather information and reporting
Strong Excel skills
Payroll and balance sheet reconciliation
Year end, accruals and fixed asset system experience
ERP Reporting, strong double entry book keeping skills.
Good written and oral communication skills
Self-motivated with ability to meet deadlines
