A strategic alliance has been formed between Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police in order to enable both forces to meet the challenge of reducing policing budgets. By working more closely together the forces will benefit from greater operational and organisational resilience, making us the fourth largest geographic police area in England and Wales.

The main purpose of the role is to support the Alliance Change Programme as an internal change consultant, including internal and external stake holder engagement and management.

Main Responsibilities:

To deliver advice and guidance to managers and staff on the approved change methodology, including skills transfer.

To deliver change activity which encourages a culture of continuous improvement through a mentoring approach which is embedded and long lasting.

Promote the use of change methodology within business areas in order to support the organisational change programme.

To undertake Process mapping and develop new service design in partnerships with the business area lead.

To design, develop and deliver change intervention plans for all design, review and commission work.

To collect and analyse data to inform future service design using a variety of change tools.

To identify and interpret the impact of systems and processes across the value stream, including other partner agencies applying a whole system approach.

To develop a change resource library and tool kit.

To undertake other duties commensurate with the nature, level of responsibility and grading of this post, as required.

Experience/Skills:

Degree / Level 5 qualification in relevant subject (e.g. process management/lean management)

Knowledge and understanding of continuous improvement methodologies

Knowledge of process mapping and analysis techniques.

Project management or continuous improvement methodology qualification

Experience of analysing and interpreting data and information

Experience of influencing and stakeholder management

Experience of facilitation and presenting information both verbally and in
writing

Experience of working cross functional and/or working with external partners and agencies

Experience of engaging and working with colleagues in the design and delivery of change interventions.

Ability to build relationships and credibility at all levels and act as a coach/ mentor for change.

Ability to apply learning to develop and deliver improvement activity.

Proficient in Microsoft packages, including power point, Word and Excel and process mapping software

Proven ability to progress multiple work assignments with minimal supervision

Evidence of continuous professional development including the development and knowledge of change methodologies.

Special Conditions:

Regular travel throughout Warwickshire and West Mercia.
