Job Objectives
My client is recruiting for a Validation Technician / Engineer to work in the London Thames area.
The Validation Technician / Engineer will work well under pressure and to conflicting deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail and high levels of standards helping towards the delivery of Leakage Reduction in London
This is a permanent role which offers a competitive salary.
Main Responsibilities
• Ensure health and safety is maintained
• Ensure that DMAs are discreet and proven
• Attend meetings performance meetings
• Assist colleagues when required
• Complete Risk Assessment and relevant method statements when required
• To uphold Company Policy with regards to Health & Safety and working conduct
• 'Best' observations
• Training of Field Technicians
• General admin responsibility - Timesheets, Tesla, Job promotions etc.
Experience/Skills Required
• At least 2 years in similar role
• Be able to interpret and understand water network schematics and plans
• Good all round knowledge of Water Network and distribution, Hydraulics
• To understand and carryout PZT/ZPT
• Flow Testing Meters - 5,10,15 flow rates
• Boundary Valve investigations/proving
• Quantification Inc. using portable flow meters
• Utility tracing
• Knowledge and experience of Pressure/Flow monitoring
• To have the intellect and ability to quickly learn new theories, techniques and working methods associated with duties and tasks
• The ability to follow procedures and instructions
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills to enable effective communication with internal and external colleagues.
• Knowledge and experience of flow data capture techniques and methods
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Able to work well under pressure and to conflicting deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail and high levels of standards
• Team player, flexible, co-operative attitude to working and giving and receiving help
