Sales and Service Administrator

A UK based organisation, operating in the USA, France, Germany and China. The Company supplies a wide range of materials which are used for research, development and specialised manufacturing applications.
The Sales and Service team maintain close relations with the Purchasing team and are responsible for enquiries, quotations and future orders. The Purchasing group provides costings for customer enquiries, they also manage sourcing and purchasing materials and items for both current and future orders. This sales based role is a customer focussed opportunity, providing commercial support on a wide range of issues and includes identification and development of business opportunities. It supports the general activities of the Sales Group and some account management aspects.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing of enquiries, quotations and orders for designated territories / customers
• Identification and follow up of potential business opportunities
• Follow up of issued quotations
• Liaison with the Purchasing Group or suppliers on a wide range of issues
• Through contact with customers, the identification and qualification of possible suppliers of products which are either already supplied by the employer or fall within the range of products supplied by the Company.
• To chase invoice payment or advise customers if account has been put on stop
• Dealing with after sales queries.

Key Requirements
• University degree (In a relevant scientific discipline)
• Excellent telephone and listening skills
• Ability to team work, drive communication and collaboration, ability to work on own initiative, proactive approach
• Attention to detail
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Commercial awareness
• Computer literate

Reporting to: The Sales & Service Supervisor
