Launch Recruitment is working with a market leading company based in Dagenham to recruit an Engineering Site Supervisor

We are looking for someone to provide assistance to the Electrical and Engineering team along with ensuring all aspects of site maintenance are carried out. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join the company during the site's build phase where he/she will be able to gain valuable experience from two established sites to ensure a smooth start-up and commissioning of the new plant.

As a Site Engineering Supervisor, your duties and responsibilities will include:

Overall, to support the day-to-day maintenance of the site and to assist the Operations Manager with controlling and co-ordinating the safe and efficient operations of the site in accordance with health & safety and legislative requirements.
To that affect, the Engineering Supervisor will organise and implement maintenance schedules as per manufacturer's guidelines and liaise with the Operations Manager & Operations Supervisor providing updates on maintenance schedules and work progress.
To implement and keep the asset management system updated and to attach costing for specific projects/plant modifications on site.
To carry out risk assessments of routine maintenance procedures and unplanned works.
To ensure maintenance staff takes full responsibility for their work environment and that all tools are maintained and accounted for, maintaining critical spares and ensuring replacement of parts as required at all times.
To liaise with external contractors and review RAMS prior to work commencing and ensure that all permit-to-work documents are completed to the required standard.
To provide supervision & assistance to the Electrical and Engineering staff.
Ensure that on each shift a daily hand over has been completed and that any additional remedial works required is carried out.
Provide a report to the Operations Manager of all repair work carried out over the previous week.
To undertake any other duties reasonably requested by the Company's Management Team.
Prior to taking leave, any outstanding jobs are to be detailed to the Operations Manager.

The Successful Person:

Experience in asset management would be beneficial.
You must be educated to A-Level, or equivalent, preferably Degree level.
Hold a fork lift license, or willingness to train.
Have good numerical, analytical and diagnostic skills.
Good written and verbal communication and IT skills - must be proficient with MS Office.
You must be flexible, practical and hard working and be able to work under own initiative.
You should be comfortable with working at heights.
