Supply Chain Capital Equipment Specialist

Location: Titchfield

Eaton Corporation's Aerospace Group, has an opening for a Supply Chain Capital Equipment Specialist.
The position will be in the UK, preferably in Titchfield.
The Supply Chain Capital Equipment Specialist will operate within the Aerospace Supply Chain organization and will focus on providing a comprehensive supply support service for multiple manufacturing sites globally. This role will ensure SCM engagement in the early definition of Capital Equipment requisitioning to influencing concise SOR, optimisation Capital Equipment Business System to confirm availability of equipment X-Sites, prior to the acquisition of new assets and ensuring the Capital Commodity Strategy and the service from the Supply Chain, fully considers and delivers to UK / US Leasing Program needs.
The position will work closely and specifically with Aerospace advanced manufacturing, local site operations and financial professionals across the organization, as well as other specialists with the Aerospace & Global Supply Chain and its preferred supplier base.

This role will support all functions in the execution and development of the new Capital Equipment procurement process at site level.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure SCM engagement with requestors in the early definition of Capital Equipment Requisitioning to ensure SOR are concise and the best total cost solution is established and optimized.
• Work with the guidance of EMEA SCM Capital or NA SCM Capital to develop techniques specific to capital equipment.
• Optimise Capital Equipment Business System to confirm availability of equipment X-Sites, prior to the acquisition of new assets.
• Comprehensively evaluate Capital Equipment Suppliers / Service Providers to comply with SCM Capital Sourcing and Supplier Selection Process.
• Define, negotiate, execute and manage multi-project supply and service contracts to deliver optimum service and performance on all Capital Equipment requirements.
• Seek opportunities to align pricing agreements to Capital Equipment LOP needs and align Lease / Support Agreements with Manufacturing and UK / US Leasing Program needs.
• Adhere to all SCM policies (specifically SCM-12) and ensure adherence to all EBE corporate Indirect work processes, including any Aerospace specific processes.
• Ensure all Capital Equipment Requisitions are supported by balanced business cases Lease or Buy - tailored solutions to reduce spend and invest where only necessary and work with legal when appropriate to finalize negotiations with Suppliers and Service Providers.
• Strengthen process for monetization of Idle Assets through recycling / re-sale / scrap.
• Help to deliver and track cost out initiatives by improving supply chain solutions for manufacturing processes including equipment technologies/capabilities. Work closely with the engineering teams to provide Supply Chain support and analysis around these initiatives.
• Support the annual profit plan process with the plants, including partnering with the engineering and operations teams to ensure necessary future capital is properly captured within the each site's plan.
• Represent a true Supply Chain resource and subject matter expert for the Aerospace Group, including providing periodic trainings to cross functional teams within the organization.

Qualifications:

• B.S or B.A. degree in Engineering or Business disciplines. Concentrations to include but not limited to Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Management Science.
• Master's degree in engineering, MBA, systems or finance
• Proficiency in SAP ECC/MRP planning and/or purchasing modules
• APICS certification
