Title/Role: Financial Manager

Nature: Full Time

Department/Branch: Head Office

Reporting to: Managing Director

Salary: GBP35,000 - GBP38,000


Responsibilities include management of all aspects of the financial operations, book-keeping and producing detailed analysis to drive business growth.

An ideal applicant will have several years of experience, be qualified or almost qualified. They'll be extremely motivated, pro-active, passionate about their work and committed to developing their own interpersonal skills. This role can progress to Financial Director Position in 18-24 months.

In this role you will:

  • Take responsibility for the overall management of finances
  • Control income, cash flow and expenditure effectively
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Reconcile other balance sheet accounts
  • Manage weekly payment runs including payment of salaries
  • Complete monthly management accounts
  • Complete and file quarterly VAT return
  • Project variance analysis on a monthly basis
  • Review existing - and create new - financial documents
  • Provide weekly monthly summary, cash flow forecasts and departmental analysis
  • Create additional dashboards as and when required
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost saving opportunities
  • Stock control
  • Assisting with payroll and year-end
  • Review supplier contracts and/or agreements to ensure they are effective
  • Keep abreast of - and comply with - changes in financial regulations and legislation

Skills Required - Essential

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a finance role
  • Qualified - CIMA or ACCA or similar
  • Experienced with FreeAgent or other accounting software
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience in stock management
  • Proactive and keen to improve the finance function
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively - both written and orally
  • Confidence to communicate with impact and influence others - including management
  • Passionate at developing their own interpersonal skills
